Downloading and Burning Your ISO to CD

ISOs torrents are usually available on their websites, occasionally the ISO itself. You download the .torrent file, then open it with your bittorrent client. The client program will download it. While this is running, you can look up the md5 checksum, probably on the same page as the torrents. After downloading it, you check the md5sum with a checksum program.

There are plenty of free programs for burning Cds (and any other application you care to name), even for Windows. You must burn the CD as an ISO image (an archive file or disk image of a CD-rom or DVD-rom). Burn it at the slowest possible speed to ensure that it’s a good copy. I’ve used CD-RWs, just in case.
